MARUDI: A 16-year-old youth from Rumah TR Lansam, Sg Dabai, about 12km from here, had been detained by police last night for allegedly raping a Primary Two girl from the same longhouse.
According to reliable sources, the youth was caught in the act by family members of the Primary Two girl who attends a school nearby.
When questioned, the youth admitted to having done the indecent act on the girl on several other occasions at the longhouse.
The youth is now being remanded in Miri for further investigation.
