SHAH ALAM: A group of non-governmental organisations will hold a peaceful assembly in front of the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah building the coming Thursday to protest against the government of Selangor for not fulfilling their promises to the people.

Malaysian Concerned Alliance Association (PPPM) secretary K.Vijiya said they expected about 1,000 people on that day and would hand over a memorandum to the Menteri Besar.

Among the issues raised would be the promises made by the last general election candidates such as the problem faced by Kampung Bunga Raya residents in Subang, she said at a press conference here  yesterday.

PPPM president N. Alagan clarified that the residents have yet to receive the 20 cubic metres of free water which was promised to each household.

“They have no time for the people but are able to attend the Bersih 3.0 rally,” he added. — Bernama
