MIRI: A 28-year-old man needed five stitches on his forehead after he was beaten and robbed by two men while strolling with his girlfriend around Jalan Miri-Pujut yesterday evening.
The victim, who sought treatment at the Miri Hospital, claimed he was robbed of RM200 cash.
Quick-acting Miri CID personnel managed to nab one of the suspects in one of the rooms of a budget hotel here at about 1.30am yesterday, hours after a police report was lodged at Miri Central Police Station.
The suspect was with a female acquaintance at the time of his arrest.
