GEORGE TOWN: A 11-year-old boy died after falling from the 14th floor of the Desa Mawar Condominium in Farlim, Ayer Itam here last night.
According to Timur Laut Police chief ACP Gan Kong Meng, during the incident that took place between 8pm to 11.30pm, the victim was believed to be alone in the apartment that belonged to his grandfather.
“The boy was living with his grandfather since he was born since his parents had divorced,” he told reporters here today.
He added that police have ruled out any foul play and classified the case as sudden death while investigations revealed that two chairs have been left in the balcony of the unit.
The body of the victim was later sent to Penang Hospital for post-mortem.– BERNAMA
