KUCHING: The BN election machinery for the Mambong parliamentary seat is ready for the coming general election, said PBB Bengoh branch secretary Jeguk Ngamo.

“If we talk about our (BN) preparations for the coming election, we are now fully ready, and we will work very hard to ensure Barisan Nasional (BN) retains the seat,” he said when contacted yesterday.

PBB Bengoh branch held its meeting two weeks ago, and among matters discussed was the 13th general election which is expected to be called very soon.

Jeguk assured that PBB would work with all other BN component parties as had been always the case in previous elections.

“Like past practices, I see no problem for us (PBB) to work with other component parties for the sake of BN.”

On Mambong MP Datuk Dr James Dawos Mamit who is widely tipped to be fielded again, Jeguk opined that the constituents were happy with his performance and thus believed that they would give him their undivided support.

“We will work really hard to ensure that Dawos wins the seat.”

Meanwhile, SUPP Bengoh Youth chief Wilson Mapus assured that their Youth wing would “go all out” in the spirit of BN to ensure a BN win in Mambong.

“We (SUPP Youth) will never waver in our effort and in the spirit of BN to help each other.

“So, for the coming general election, we will surely help Dawos retain the seat.”
