KOTA KINABALU: A 66-year-old motorcyclist was killed when he collided with a Naza Citra car near Lok Kawi yesterday afternoon.
The victim was identified as Samar Esmail who lived at Taman Jumbo, Putatan.
Penampang police chief Deputy Superintendent Ratan Kumar Singh confirmed the case yesterday and reminded road users to be cautious when driving.
The victim was heading for Lok Kawi to collect payment around 4.30pm. He collided with the Naza when making a U-turn.
The impact of the collision caused the victim to smash into the windscreen of the vehicle and dropped back to the ground. He died on the spot.
The Naza driver was a 30-year-old woman who was accompanied by a female passenger. They were on the way back to Kota Belud from Papar.
