KUCHING: The iProperty Group announced its search app that enables consumer to search for properties directly on either their iPads, iPhones, Androids and Symbian phones which has been named one of Australia’s most innovative products in the Anthill Magazine Smart 200 Index.

The Anthill SMART 100 is hailed as one of the largest awards of its kind in Australia that recognises the 100 most pioneering and innovative products developed by Australian companies, it said in a press release yesterday.

Delighted by the news that it had clinched the second spot out of a 100 entries, iProperty Group chief executive officer Shaun Di Gregorio said, “The Anthill SMART 100 recognition symbolises the persistence of excellence and inspires our drive to remain in the forefront of innovation, creativity and ingenuity in the property industry.”

He added that iProperty Group had the largest database of listings and was driven by very clear and strong focus on providing online visitors with the best search experience and access to tools to make the property-hunting and decision-making experience as easy as possible.

“By listening and understanding the current market trends and thinking ahead, we are able to create and develop highly innovative products that set the industry’s benchmark,” said Di Gregorio.

Elaborating further, Di Gregorio said that the apps were designed to give property buyers and investors real-time access to properties for sale and rent anywhere and at any time. It allowed users to search for properties in any vicinity, saving property investors the trouble of driving around the housing or commercial estates of their choice.

The app, fitted with a Global Positioning System, enabled users to know what properties awee for sale or rent wherever they were. The search results could be viewed on a list or map which also gave directions to the desired locations.

He added that mobile technologies were quickly catching up to traditional browser-based sites and that, by having the right tools at their disposal, consumers could make quicker and better decisions when deciding on their next or first property investment.

He concluded by saying, “We are committed to enhancing the experience of property buyers and investors, including meeting the future needs of our customers and consumers and will continue in our quest to be the first to develop highly innovative products that meet these needs.”
