ENGKILILI: Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Engkilili branch will be holding ‘Majlis Ngiling Bidai’ Gawai Dayak 2012 at Skim Skrang multi-purpose hall at a date to be confirmed later.
The matter was announced by Engkilili assemblyman Dr Johnnical Rayong during the branch committee meeting at its office here yesterday.
Dr Rayong, who is SUPP Engkilili branch chairman said he was expecting about 3,000 people to attend the event.
According to him, Senior Minister and Second Finance Minister Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh would be invited to open the function.
Assistant Minister of Rural Development and Assistant Housing Minister Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, Lubok Antu MP William Nyalau and Opar assemblyman Ranum Mina are also expected to be present.
Dr Johnical hoped the event would unite the various races in Engkilili under the 1Malaysia concept.
