SIBU: The ‘1Malaysia Beauty Pageant’ is still open to single ladies aged 18 to 28.
The contest will be held at 1Malaysia Cultural Village near Bukit Aup here on July 8, said organising chairman Ying Tieng Chai.
It is jointly organised by Sibu Rejang Musical Society, Sibu Bonsai and Horticulture Association, United Chinese Association and Sibu Foochow Association.
Ying said the top three winners would bag RM3,000, RM2,000 and RM1,000 respectively.
“They shall also take home a trophy and sash each,” he said.
Those in fourth to eighth places will each receive RM300.
The subsidiary titles include Miss Photogenic, Miss Best Costume, Miss Elegant and Miss Friendship.
“Those interested to join the contest must be 162 cm tall and with no criminal record,” Ying said.
Entry forms obtainable from Ying (019-8898399) must be completed and returned to her by midday of July 7.
