Car salesman denies outraging customer’s modesty

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: A car salesman who has denied sexually abusing a potential customer and was granted bail of $3,000 or one local surety, hired Sheikh Noordin Mohammad as his defence counsel before the Bandar Seri Begawan magistrate’s court, reported Borneo Bulletin.

Sheikh Noordin requested an adjournment of the case to and was granted a further mention on August 9, 2012. Allegations state that Antonio Escoto, a 43-year old local employed by Setia Motors Sdn Bhd, outraged the modesty of a 30-year-old woman by pulling her right hand towards him and kissing it several times in addition to touching her left breast at the vicinity of the car dealer’s premises in Perindustrian Beribi II at 1.45pm on November 11, 2010.

Deputy PubliC Prosecutor, Pg Hjh Ham Pg Hj Mohammad informed Chief Magistrate, Hj Abdullah Soefri PD Hj Abidin that seven witnesses will be brought to court to testify against the defendant.
