KUALA TERENGGANU: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak arrived here today for a one-day working visit to Terengganu.
The prime minister, who flew in to the Sultan Mahmud Airport here in a special aircraft at 9.10 am, was greeted by Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said and other state Barisan Nasional leaders.
Najib and Ahmad later took a helicopter ride to Dungun where the prime minister will launch the Universiti Teknologi Mara’s “Changing the Destiny of the Malays” programme at Arena Square.
Najib will later join the local people at Friday prayers at the Pekan Bukit Payong Mosque, Marang, before attending a luncheon in Kampung Bukit Payong.
In the afternoon, the prime minister will meet People’s Volunteer Corps members from Terengganu at the Gong Badak Indoor Stadium here.
He returns to Kuala Lumpur after the function. — BERNAMA
