MIRI: Three youths were arrested on Thursday evening in relation to stolen motorcycles following police raids in Morsjaya and the Riam Chinese cemetery.

During the first raid around 4.30pm, police nabbed an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old after they discovered a stolen motorcycle which had been stripped down to parts at a Morsjaya house.

Half an hour later, at the cemetery, they caught a 21-year-old while he was reportedly trying to sell a stolen bike for RM300.

However, the potential buyer managed to escape.

All three suspects were brought to the Miri central police station to facilitate the investigation.

The motorcycle from the first raid was reported stolen from the car park of a shopping mall on Wednesday night.

Its 21-year-old man owner had just finished work when he realised the motorcycle missing.
