KUCHING: The 1Malaysia Movie Show, organised by Wanita SPDP Pending to get the whole BN machinery together, was endorsed by SUPP secretary-general Prof Dr Sim Hui Kian.
Speaking to reporters after leading the event organising committee to pay a courtesy call on Dr Sim at SUPP headquarters at Jalan Tan Sri Ong Kee Hui here yesterday, Pending SPDP chairman Athanasius Audie Chua said they were happy to share their strategy with SUPP at a meeting with Dr Sim yesterday.
“We want to meet leaders of all BN component parties to share the strategies to use to win back the confidence of the Chinese community, especially in the parliamentary constituencies of Bandar Kuching and Stampin.
“We believe the 1BN concept, where party machinery from every BN component come together to work out strategies, will be effective in winning the hearts of young Chinese voters in the two constituencies,” he said.
He said they were happy their efforts to realise the first step in the concerted effort had received good response from leaders of various BN component parties namely PBB, SUPP, PRS and SPDP.
“We have shared our idea with leaders at the grassroots level but we want to meet leaders of the various parties to formally inform them of our programme, and we are glad they are all supportive,” he said.
SPDP Pending deputy Wanita chief Wendy Earnest Sadan, organising chairperson of the event, said they anticipated that the Cineplex at the Spring would be packed on the night of the movie show.
