KUALA LUMPUR: Muslims in Malaysia will begin the Ramadan fast tomorrow.
The Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal, Datuk Syed Danial Syed Ahmad, announced last night that the date for the beginning of the fast for states in Malaysia had been set for Saturday, July 21, as decreed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong after getting the consent of the Rulers.
The announcement was carried live over RTM.
The Conference of Rulers had concurred that the method of setting the date for the beginning of the fast is based on the sighting of the moon and mathematical calculation. — Bernama
