MIRI: Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Miri branch has nabbed another General Operations Force (GOF) personnel here for allegedly accepting a RM3,000 bribe from a businessman.
The GOF personnel, with the rank of lance corporal, was arrested on Friday and brought to Miri Central Police station to record his statement at about 7.30pm.
The RM3,000 cash was allegedly given to the personnel in his 30s and two others, also GOF personnel (an Inspector and Lance Corporal), by the businessman to prevent his premises from being inspected by them.
With the arrest on Friday, the MACC here has arrested three GOF personnel so far in connection with the case.
All three suspects would be remanded until this Monday to facilitate an investigation by the MACC.
