RM300 per share for oil palm shareholders

KUCHING: A total of 3,802 oil palm shareholders in Simunjan and Gedong zones received interim dividends of RM300 per share this year.

The amount paid by WFM Plantation and Indranika Jaya was presented to shareholders through their companies namely Sadong Wibawa and Punggor Wibawa during a mock cheque presentation at Chief Minister Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud’s residence at Demak Jaya after breaking of fast and terawih prayers on Monday night.

Total interim dividends amounted to RM1,140,600.

To-date, a total of 10,000 hectares have been approved for development by Indranika Sdn Bhd and 4,300 hectares by Hydroflow Sdn Bhd.

There are 5,700 hectares of balanced areas in various stages of development.

Production as of July 31 this year was 27,500 metric tonnes for areas aged one to four years by Indranika Sdn Bhd, and 3,600 metric tonnes for first year harvesting by Hydroflow Sdn Bhd.

At the same ceremony, Peryatim Sarawak and Perkim Sarawak received raya contributions.

Dato Wahab Suhaili of Wahba Group contributed RM20,000 to Peryatim Sarawak, while an anonymous businessman contributed RM30,000 to Peryatim and RM20,000 to Perkim Sarawak.

Other contributions came from Pembinaan Masrafan Sdn Bhd, Liga India Muslim Kuching and Yayasan Laila Taib.

In addition to the orphans, Taib and wife Puan Sri Ragad Kurdi-Taib also contributed to 30 families and single mothers.
