Gregory Thomas Jitom won the UCSI University’s Black Box Cooking Competition in a keen competition with three other chefs held at tHe Spring over the weekend.
Gregory, 27, from Kampung Stengang Bau, is a chef with the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching. His pasta creation earned top marks and praises from the judges.
The calm and collected chef won a two-day, one-night stay at Four Points by Sheraton Kuching, an electrical appliance sponsored by Okimas Sdn Bhd and a hamper.
The first runner up was Wong Teck Wang winning a dinner voucher from Riverside Majestic Hotel, a kitchen appliance from Multiware Kitchen and a hamper.
Second runner up was Alan Leong who won a hamper and a digital scale while the third runner up was Chua Poh Kian who won a hamper.
All participants received a certificate of participation.
