KUCHING: The Sarawak Rangers Veterans Association (SRVA) will hold its annual general meeting (AGM) this Sunday at the Sarawak Industries Promotion and Exhibition Centre (Sipec).
Secretary-general Captain Mohd Johari Ibrahim (Retired) said the meeting proper will start at 9am but for registration members have to arrive at least 30 minutes earlier.
“We want all ex-rangers to come and attend the meeting especially those from the various Malaysian Ranger Regiments. They can come even if letters to notify them about our AGM have yet to reach them,” he said.
Several matters would be discussed during the meeting so their participation is necessary to get more input, he said.
“For example some of us may have constructive views and ideas on how to strengthen the association and so on but if we don’t attend the meeting you will not be able to share them with other fellow members.
“We are not forcing anyone because SRVA is a voluntary body but for the association to function actively it needs the solid support from all members,” he added.
