KUCHING: Two houses in Taman Satria Jaya are believed to have been struck by the same group of thieves on Friday night, resulting in thousands of ringgit in losses for both owners.

Both incidents were discovered around 10.30pm when the owners, a 48-year-old insurance manager and a 35-year-old consultant, arrived back at their houses at Lorong D3 and F2 respectively and found signs of forced entry.

The former reported the loss of two computers, a wristwatch and 10 bottles of liquor, while the latter lost gold jewellery and about RM1,000 in local and foreign currency.

In an unrelated incident, an office supply company suffered over RM12,000 in losses after thieves broke into its premises at Upper Foochow Road No. 1 and stole hundreds of calculators.

The break-in was discovered around 7am yesterday by the owner, who told police that apart from a computer, fax machine and CCTV recording system, the thieves also carted away his stock comprising 360 units of Casio calculators.

All three cases are being investigated by the police.
