KUCHING: Penrissen Food Court comprising 20 stalls at 4th Mile, Jalan Penrissen here, offers a wide variety of
local food making it a good spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Its managing director Bernard Chin yesterday said every food stall owner prepared the food themselves instead of getting workers to do the job.

“All the food stall owners are very experienced and they are so good in what they are doing. We want to offer a place that our customers could feel like home, for instance, they can watch TV while eating,” he said when met at the food court.

He added that the food court was looking to offer even more variety of food especially in the evening.

The food court, which has been in business for two years, offered free drinks to customers for the first time yesterday in line with Merdeka Day. Customers who ordered Kopi-O, Iced Kopi-O, Tea-O and Iced Tea-O got their drinks free of charge from 1pm to 5pm.

Chin said the promotion was to show their appreciation for customers.

“If customers are happy with our promotion, we will do a similar promotion in future. Why not?” he said.

Besides Penrissen Food Court, Chin and his partners are running three other food courts in Kuching namely Tabuan Food Court, Emporium Food Court and Bistro @ Jalan Song and Kuching Sentral Food Court and Bistro.
