PETALING JAYA: Deputy Information, Communications and Culture Minister Datuk Maglin Dennis D’Cruz has called on TV stations to open their door to more local production houses in order to help expose their talents.
He said this would contribute towards the development of local productions and talents, especially in Tamil, which was still lacking.
The deputy minister also urged local producers to emphasise on quality of their productions as this aspect was taken into consideration in selecting the best programmes.
“If we want more people to watch local productions, the quality and standard of programmes must be improved,” he said after lauching the Sunquick Variarasa Celebrity Cook Show, here, Wednesday.
The show with 13 episodes will be aired on RTM1 starting Oct 1. –Bernama
