PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia has earned praises on its Islamic affairs administration from a Ukrainian delegation which is on a visit here.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom said this was conveyed to him by Ukraine mufti Syeikh Akhmed Tamim who headed the delegation.
Ukraine is keen to learn from Malaysia’s experience in managing Islamic affairs, Jamil Khir told reporters after receiving Syeikh Akhmed at his office here Wednesday.
“Ukraine sees Malaysia’s potential in helping them over Islamic affairs administration.
“They are also impressed with Lembaga Tabung Haji’s ability in managing haj pilgrims as they have difficult in meeting the quota of 4,000 pilgrims allocated to them.
“They acknowledged Tabung Haji as the world’s best haj pilgrimage management authority,” said Jamil Khir. –Bernama
