KUCHING: Yung Kong Co Sdn Bhd had an Irwin and Lenox Tools roadshow yesterday to showcase its wide range of products.
Lenox and Irwin sales director (Tools division, Asia) Kuang Yoon Hsin said that Irwin Tools manufacture and distribute professional grade hand tools and power tool accessories worldwide for trade professionals who demand superior performance and durability on the job.
Irwin Tools’ brand portfolio features user-preferred category leaders like Irwin Record, Marples, Jack, Joran, Hilmor, Gilbow, Vise-Grip, Marathon, Quick-Grip, Speedbor, Strait-Line, Unibit and Hanson.
“Irwin Tools product range covers metal, woodworking and pipe tools, drilling accessories, layout knives and blades, layout tools, pliers and plumbing tools, metal cutting tools, tool storage and workwear,” said Kuang.
Lenox is Irwin Tools’ sister company which specialises in metal cutting with its headquarters in Massachusetts, USA and their products are made in USA.
It focuses on metal cutting and manufactures bend saw and tools, with key products being the hacksaw blades, hacksaws and reciprocating blade.
The head office for Asia division in Shanghai has over 200 employees with two warehouses in China, one for the whole of Asia and the other for the China domestic market.
“Lenox has just launched its T2 BiMetal technology whose key features are new materials used and new tools geometry and design. It significantly improves performance compared to close competitors. Lenox was established in 1915.”
Meanwhile, Yung Kong Co Bhd trading director Henry Hii said that the company distributes the brands’ products for East Malaysia and has been its agent for the past five years.
