BREAK-IN: The Post Office window panes removed and the iron cut.
LIMBANG: A thief fled with RM300 cash contained in a collection box of staff in Limbang Post Office on Wednesday night.
Limbang District police chief, Superintendent Mohd Bukhori Saffai said yesterday the suspect could have hidden behind a tree and flowering scrub before entering the Post Office premises through a damaged fence.
He then broke a few panes of a window to get into the building.
Bukhori said only the staff collection box was stolen.
“A police report was lodged by the staff two days ago and until now no arrest has been made,” he said.
According to a source, the collection box was found missing by staff on Thursday morning when they clocked in for work.
They also found a window with missing panes behind a tree and flowering scrub.
