SIBU: A 49-year-old woman fractured her left ankle after the motorcycle she was riding pillion on hit a dog at Bukit Besar Road here yesterday.
Lily Darin was heading to town on the bike with her husband from their house in Bawang Assan when the accident struck at 10.30am.
It was said that her husband failed to swerve in time and struck the dog which was crossing the road. This threw the couple off the motorcycle.
The husband, who escaped unhurt, summoned for an ambulance to take his wife to hospital.
