DANGER LURKS: The missing manhole cover over a drain in front of SK Perbandaran No. 4.
SIBU: The seven manhole covers opposite SJK Perbandaran No. 4 that went missing half a year ago have yet to be replaced, said Sibu DAP secretary Lee Seng Onn.
He told a press conference yesterday that he lodged a complaint on the missing items with the authority six months ago, but until now nothing had been done.
“All I see are cement blocks and wooden planks purportedly put there by Good Samaritans. The hazard is still there,” he said.
Lee called on the Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID) to look into the matter immediately.
