Police report over Anwar’s visit to Keningau

KENINGAU: Kampung Limbawan residents here are protesting against the presence of opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who is scheduled to give a talk in the village on October 12.

The Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) adviser, Johnton Ensin, lodged a police report at the district police headquarters here on Monday.

Johnton who is also committee member of Keningau Umno division, was representing the villagers and the village chief in lodging the report at 11.22am.

Johnton said the villagers unanimously disagreed with the scheduled visit of Anwar to the village due to many factors apart disturbance to public order and also contention among villagers.

A police official here confirmed receiving the report.
