KUCHING: Entries are now open for the second edition of the SPDP Mambong football knock-out tournament scheduled to kick off on Nov 4.
Oganising chairman Tender Mojig told The Borneo Post the competition will be divided into Open and Veteran categories.
“All football enthusiasts are welcomed to support this event. The Veteran category is only for those players who are 40-years-old and above. The Open category is limited to 20 teams while Veteran category only eight teams,” said Mojig.
Mojig informed that apart from trophies and medals, the champion in the Open category will receive RM700 cash while RM500 awaits the first runner-up with third place winner pocketing RM300.
In the Veteran category, the champion will win RM300 while second and third place winners will receive RM200 and RM100 respectively.
“Registration fees are RM250 for Open category and RM150 for the Veteran category. Registrations will be closed on October 28. The draw on the other hand will be held on the same day, 2pm at Siburan Sports Complex,” he added.
