KUCHING: The Pre-school Smart Carnival organised by Serian Education Office was successfully held on Tuesday at Serian community hall near here, involving preschool children from the primary schools in Serian district.

“This is also regarded as a performance indicator of quality pre-school education. The carnival provides an opportunity for the children to show off their talents and potentials through their participation in the activities held. It also encourages interaction with their peers,” he said through a press release yesterday.

The carnival was also expected to contribute to the social-emotional and development and socialisation of the children, in addition to strengthening their learning capacity.

Pre-school children led by the teachers from primary schools in Serian district took part in a Malay and English language story telling competition, poem recitation competition, colouring contest, telematch, traditional dances competition and other language competitions at the Preschool Smart Station.
