KAPIT: Cable damage caused the interruption of power supply here at 9.35am yesterday.
Sarawak Energy said in a press statement that the incident, which affected parts of Kapit town ¡V the nine-storey State Complex, Jalan Bukit Goram, Jalan Bleteh, Jalan Resettlement and Kapit bypass ¡V was caused by an external party.
“Our cable was damaged as a result of construction work currently being carried out at the Bleteh Light Industrial Area.
Upon receiving notification of the incident, Sarawak Energy¡¦s technical crew was dispatched and supply restored in stages. Electricity was fully restored around 12.20pm.
Sarawak Energy apologised for the interruption.
