KUCHING: The Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) will introduce a new agenda for 2013.

Kuching North Datuk Bandar Datuk Abang Abdul Wahap Abang Julai, who revealed this yesterday, said the new agenda would see some changes in the commission to further enhance its services.

Speaking at DBKU’s monthly gathering, he stressed that the new agenda would not be able to achieve its objectives without the close cooperation of staff.

“The 2013 agenda is one of the efforts for us to move forward. You would see some changes which are necessary to ensure we could further improve DBKU,” he said after inspecting the parade of officers and personnel from four enforcement divisions.

He said DBKU would continue to give its personnel relevant training to help staff carry out their responsibilities more effectively.

Abang Wahap also congratulated staff who were promoted for their excellent performance.

“The promotion means that you are entrusted by DBKU to carry out your jobs. Apart from continuing to deliver your quality of work, you must hold your responsibility correctly and should not abuse your power.”

The promotions also served to encourage other staff to work hard in order to earn the recognition, he added.
