MIRI: Mirians are encouraged to support the E-Waste Re-Cycling Campaign, jointly organised by Miri City Council (MCC) and Computer Sales and Services Association (CSSA) Sarawak Miri branch at Miri Indoor Stadium car park from 11am to 5pm on Dec 1.
This year, the collection of e-waste is expanded to include household appliances such as television sets, fridges and freezers, washing machines, photocopiers, telephone sets and related items on top of old and unused computers and accessories.
Special transport arrangements can be made by CSSA Sarawak for big corporations in the private sector or government departments with large quantities to be disposed of.
Meanwhile, MCC will be sponsoring the exchange of MCC parking coupons with those who bring in their old and unused computers for recycling.
For every 5 kg of old and unused computer, one piece of MCC parking coupon will be given.
MCC and CSSA Sarawak urge all Mirians to support this cause by bringing their old and unused computers and accessories to the venue for recycling.
