SIBU: Some 140 members and their families of the Institute of Rejang Journalists joined the Christmas Luncheon and Study Award Presentation at Paramount Hotel on Dec 25.
The Christmas luncheon was one of the IRJ’s annual activities to foster friendships among its members and their families and to enjoy the spirit of Christmas during the festive season.
The United Association of Chinese Primary Aided School Board of Management of Sibu and Kapit Division vice-chairman Teo Boon Siew was the guest of honour.
Among those present were organising chairman Monica Chua, IRJ president Yii Suok Ming and sponsors Teo Wen Huat, and Cr Tiong Yong Hing.
Twenty-eight outstanding students were given the study awards by the association.
Apart from the receiving candies from a committee member dressed as Santa Claus, the guests were also entertained with
games and lucky draws.
