UCSI University Sarawak Campus chief operating officer Lu Huong Ying officially commenced the event with a speech to congratulate all graduating students and stressed the importance of getting ready for the next step in their lives.

Programme coordinator of Centre for Pre-U Studies (CPU) Mukvinder Sandhu added that students must be able to hone important skills such as communication and leadership skills.

The awards given were Best Achievement and Most Improved Student, followed by awards to the winners of the CPU Talent Show and Badminton Competition.

Graduates from the English Enrichment Programme also received their certificates.

The highlights of the event include performances by winners of the CPU Talent Show “grooving” to the music with their freestyle dance moves and a song from the CPU team.

The event ended with the parent-lecturer interviews, a chance for parents to have a better insight into their children’s progress and develop strategies to help students’ achievements at CPU.

Ever since UCSI University offered its A-Levels in 2002, the university has seen their graduates given the opportunity to further their studies at local or foreign universities in countries such as United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.
