KUCHING: Only Taekwondo Malaysia (TM) and its affiliates in the country are allowed to use the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) name and logo in Malaysia.
This was announced by WTF president Dr Chungwon Choue in a press conference in Kuala Lumpur on Jan 12.
On Monday the Sarawak Taekwondo Association (PTNS) president Salleh Sani had clarified the association’s position as the only governing body for the sport in Sarawak.
Salleh was in Kuala Lumpur with state technical chairman Tan Check Joon to attend a dinner at Sunway Resort Hotel which was held in conjunction with the Chungwon’s visit to Malaysia.
He clarified further that no person, club or association is allowed the use of the WTF name and logo in registration or promotion activities unless they are an affiliate member of TM.
