KUCHING: Engkilili assemblyman Dr Johnical Rayong yesterday said he was in fighting shape and urged rumour-mongers to stop the indecent act of claiming he has suffered a stroke or has heart problems.
Without elaborating, Dr Rayong believed the rumours had ulterior motives.
“On Tuesday, someone from SUPP headquarters called our Engkilili branch to check if I was ill. Yesterday I received calls from all over enquiring about the same subject,” he said in a press statement yesterday.
“For the information of everyone, I received a courtesy call from the Sarawak Assistant Medical Officers Association on Tuesday and held a press conference.
“I am well and fine, so, whoever started and spread the rumour please be decent and stop it.”
Dr Rayong also thanked his friends and relatives who showed concern about his wellbeing.
