AirAsia X to launch Kuala Lumpur — Jeddah route from Feb 16 onwards

KUCHING: AirAsia X, an affiliate of AirAsia Bhd announced yesterday it has opened a new route to Jeddah from its Kuala Lumpur hub. The flights from Kuala Lumpur to Jeddah will commence services from February 16 2013, offering guests the opportunity to discover the major urban centre of western Saudi Arabia and its historical surroundings.

According to a press release, AirAsia X plans to begin flights to King Abdul Aziz International Airport, Jeddah from Kuala Lumpur with three flights weekly from February 16 to April 30, 2013 and increase its flight frequency to four flights weekly from May 1 onwards, but may adjust the frequency based on seasonality.

In conjunction with the Open for Sale announcement, AirAsia X is offering promotional fares from as low as RM399 Economy, and from as low as 1,599 on its Premium Flatbed Kuala Lumpur to Jeddah one way.
