MIRI : King’s Archery is currently promoting archery among students by holding demonstrations in various primary and secondary schools around the city.

Officer-in-charge of the centre, David Ting said the archery demonstration at SMK St Columba yesterday is the third so far and response has been encouraging.

“This is our third school and earlier this week we held the same demo at SMK St Joseph and Riam Road Middle School.

“There are six secondary schools and four primary schools in our list. We will hold demonstrations at all these schools and at the same time get students to enrol for our training programme,” he said.

According to him, the centre is running an archery training programme for students aged between 8 to 15 years old with a fee of RM120 per month per student.

The programme is aimed at scouting new talents archery and is limited to the first 50 secondary school students and 30 primary school pupils.

“We accept students for the programme on first come first serve basis and those interested can contact our centre at 085-419500,” he said adding parents who wish to enrol their children for the programme can also contact the centre.
