BERA: The Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry will be opening 57 more 1Malaysia People’s Shops (KR1M) this year, said its minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
He said most of the new outlets would be opened in rural areas especially in Sabah and Sarawak.
“Following the overwhelming response to KR1M stores particularly in rural areas, the number of products will also be increased to 300 items this year,” he told reporters when met at a community function here yesterday.
As such, he urged small and medium enterprises to take advantage of the development to market their products through KR1M outlets. — Bernama
