MIRI:  The   people   should  continue to support the BN government in the fast-approaching 13th general  election as switching to the opposition camp is a ‘risk’ which could derail all that the country had achieved since independence.

Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water Datuk Seri Peter Chin said the BN could be depended upon to deliver on its promises and to ensure that stability and peace continued to prevail.

“We need to maintain and preserve the current stability. Never gamble and take risk for something uncertain,” he said at the ‘Gong Xi Gong Xi with Ai FM and Miri FM’ at Bintang Megamall here yesterday.

Chin, who is also Miri MP, reminded the people to think rationally when picking the next government.

“The prosperity that the nation has achieved today is the result of political stability. If you want our country to continue to enjoy prosperity, choose a government that can administer the country smoothly,” he said as a matter-of-factly.

“A lot of governments have collapsed worldwide and chaos erupted as a result of instability caused by, among others, racism sentiments. These events destroyed their nations’ development and economy.”

Chin added that unlike the opposition, the BN  always fulfilled its promises and would not make empty promises.

At  the  gathering, Chin  presented  angpows to  24 children from the Miri  Methodist  Children Home (MMCH).

He  also  gave the Home rice. The donations were  also  sponsored by RTM Miri and Ai FM from Kuala Lumpur.

RTM Miri manager Ramli Junaidi, Ai FM chief Elaine Cheah and Chin’s political secretary Datuk Sebastian Ting were among those present.
