BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: In conjunction with the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), the ‘Department of Mosque Affairs along with the Takmir Committee of Pengiran Muda Abdul Malik Mosque organised a national youth Dikir Syarafil Annam Competition, Borneo Bulletin reported.
The competition was held at Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Malik Mosque in Kampong Tungku Katok.
The guest of honour was Awg Hj Zulkifli bin Panglima Asgar Dato Paduka Hj Abdullah, Administrative Director at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Also in attendance were Hj Abd Rajid bin Hj Md Salleh, Acting Director of Mosque Affairs Department, as well as officers and staff of the ministry.
The male category was won by youths from Kampong Lubuk Pulau Mosque in Tutong, followed in second place by RP? Kg Pandan Mosque in Kuala Belait and in third place by Masjid Utama Mohamad Salleh in Temburong.
In the female category, the first place was bagged by Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque in Serusop, followed in second place by Kampong Lubuk Pulau Mosque in Tutong and in third place by Batu Apoi Mosque in Temburong.
