SIBU: The remains of Mohd Suai, which were found floating in a river near Kampung Nangka on Thursday morning, will be sent back to Sulawesi in Indonesia.

The 24-year-old crew member of a boat was found drowned two days after he was reported missing.

It is understood that police had received a report from his relative and supervisor, and that they declined to have a post-mortem conducted. In fact, the remains had been claimed by the relative.

Suai was believed to have fallen into the river while boarding a vessel berthed at Tanjung Maling jetty near Lau King Howe Hospital Memorial Museum at about 11.30am on Tuesday.
