SEMPORNA: The KadazanDusunMurut (KDM) people are smart and know who can and who cannot help them, said Rural and Regional Development Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Haji Abdal.
He said the “Huguan Siou” (Paramount Leader) title is for the KDM community and for the Parti Keadilan (PKR) Ranau to bestow the Huguan Sious of Malaysia title on Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at Kampung Paginatan, Ranau recently is a political gimmick.
“Huguan Siou is a title for KDM community leader, I do not know when Anwar entered KDM, Maybe no Sabahan (KDM) is worthy to be called Huguan Siou so they called Anwar as Huguan Siou,” he said when asked to comment on the matter yesterday.
However, Shafie was quick to add that he is sure this is their (PKR) politics.
“Actually, we look at their struggle to hail Sabah KDM community. Only we are sure the KDM are smart, they can measure and avoid who Anuar is, (whether he) can help them (the KDM) or not,” he said.
Shafie said the KDM is sure that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is more of a “Huguan Siou” (leader) as he is the leader of the country.
