LAWAS: Lawas member of parliament Datuk Henry Sum Agong has promised that the constituency would receive more development projects if Barisan Nasional (BN) wins the upcoming election.

He said several projects are on track, but cannot proceed without continuity of BN’s rule.

“The projects will only progress and be implemented if the BN government continues to rule,” he said when distributing 1Malaysia People’s Aid (BR1M2.0) vouchers to 487 recipients at the Kampung Long Tuma Community Hall yesterday.

He said the BR1M is one of the government’s initiatives to ease the burden of the less fortunate.

Henry also announced an RM100,000 grant for the building of a new community hall, with construction to start this month.

“The allocation is the start for the year and more upcoming projects will be approved by the BN if the party continues to rule,” he added.

For the convenience of BR1M2.0 recipients, personnel from Maybank led by Mark Surang cashed the vouchers on the spot.

Among those present were Pemanca Kading Silo and Penghulu Davis Parang.
