ITS to offer Maths and Science classes in English

KUCHING: International Tuition School (ITS) is launching new programmes for students in view of the government’s education policy of doing away with Mathematics and Science in English.

As of March 1, the new programmes of Mathematics and Science in English following Singaporean syllabus will be held in the evenings together with Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia (BM) for primary and lower secondary school students.

ITS director Sandra Ling said that it was vital for the younger generation to learn Mathematics and science in English in order to cope with the English medium of instruction at universities either locally or abroad in almost all fields of studies.

She said a good foundation of these two subjects in English ensures a better chance of success in tertiary education and later in students’ career.

ITS, a pioneer in teaching English, was founded in 1985, and has been a leading provider of English tuition and now has five established branches in the city.
