KUCHING: High flying Crocs is eyeing another win as they play host to visiting Johor FA in their the Premier League match to be played at State Stadium, Petra Jaya tonight.

Johor is trailing the Crocs in the present table standings and both teams are separated only by a few points but the pressure is on the homesters who need to keep their unbeaten record intact.

Chief coach, Robert Alberts know it pretty well that tonight’s match will not be a stroll in the park with the visitors’ dangerman, Muriel Orlando is currently among the league’s top scorers.

With Ivan Babic expected to resume his role in the forward line, the Crocs’ home ground advantage must be fully utilised but the simplest mistakes can cost them valuable points and dampen the hopes of topping the league.

The Crocs must win against Johor as it will strengthen their position further with a comfortable buffer zone for the team to enjoy as the league gains momentum.

Like other teams, the homesters are also hoping for Kedah FA to do them a little favour by beating Sime Darby FC in their match today and the favourable result will boost Sarawak’s position as league leader.

But then again, the Crocs can only do so if collect full points tonight.

Another tough job ahead for the Crocs will be on Feb 26 when the team will face Penang PBAPP FC in the second leg FA Cup knockout stage also to be held at Stadium Negeri.

The quarter-final of the FA Cup beckons for the Crocs if they continue with the sterling performance and keep soaking in the mounting pressure particularly from the excited local fans now calling for more wins and entertaining football in their backyard.
