Pray for safety of security forces in Sabah — Sultan of Pahang

KUANTAN: The Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah has urged the people to unite and pray for the safety of security forces members protecting the country’s sovereignty in Lahad Datu, Sabah.

Saddened by the intrusion which has claimed the life of nine security forces members, he want the people to fully support the offensive action taken by the government.

“As a citizen and ruler of Pahang, I feel very sad by what is happening. We must pray for the safety of our people and heroes who are fighting against
terrorists in Sabah,” he told reporters after opening Sultan Ahmad Shah nursery here yesterday.

He also urged the people to support action being taken by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

Mosques throughout Pahang will hold ‘solat hajat’ (special prayers) for the safety of security forces members in Sabah. — Bernama
