Wong is Soppoa new chairman

KUCHING: Paul Wong Hee Kwong is the new chairman for Sarawak Oil Palm Plantation Owners Association (Soppoa), following a meeting to elect new exco members for the years 2013 – 2015 held on Friday.

Wong, the vice-chairman in the previous exco, takes over from Datuk Amar Abdul Hamed Sepawi who is now one of the association’s three advisors alongside Dato Wong Kuo Hea and Dato’ Ding Lian Cheon.

Also in the line-up is Datu Vasco Sabat Singkang as the first vice-chairman, while David Tiong Chiong Ong is the second vice-chairman.

Philip Ho Kian Sin is the secretary, and the deputy secretary is Shannon Yii Chong Hee. The treasurer is Dato’ Jin Kee Mou and his deputy is Thomas Tieng Mee Tung.

Council members are namely Datu Dr Sulaiman Husaini, Datuk Wong Kie Yik, Dato Ha Tiung Noon, Dato’ Sri Law Kiu Kiong, Polit Hamzah, Ling Lu Kiong, Simon Wong Siik Onn and Daniel Ding Huong Chen.
