MIRI: The commotion caused by a monkey at a residential area in Senadin a week ago finally came to an end with its capture.
Fire and Rescue Services Department personnel captured the monkey about 5pm Thursday.
The monkey had escaped from a cage sometime in February where it was kept as a pet of a family residing in the area.
About one week ago, it started to wreak havoc in the neighbourhood by going into homes and attempting to steal food.
Several residents complained that their undergarments had also gone missing, believing that the monkey had stolen them.
Residents are relieved that the monkey has been captured.
