SIBU: Kampung Hilir folks from all walks of life turned out in droves to throw their support behind Sibu parliamentary constituency BN candidate Vincent Lau last Tuesday.
The huge crowds, who were staunch BN supporters, waved the BN flags at MMB hall here to show their solid support.
Loud applause could be heard as Lau accompanied by Nangka assemblyman Dr Annuar Rapaee shook hands with the villagers. The crowds were immediately drawn to Lau due to his down-to-earth attitude and being very approachable.
“Give your full support to BN candidate for Sibu, Vincent Lau, so that he will be able to bring more development to Sibu,” Dr Annuar addressed the excited crowd.
Nangka together with Bawang Assan and Pelawan state constituencies make up Sibu, a BN’s stronghold.
In the 2011 state election, the staunch BN supporters sent the opposition packing where PBB Nangka candidate Dr Annuar won with a handsome majority of 5,302 votes.
Dr Annuar assured that he was all out to galvanise the Bumiputera voters to turn up in full force on polling day. #myvote13 #ge13
